We are now settled in Vancouver. Getting here during the COVID shutdown was a great adventure. You can get a sense of it by checking my “Moving to BC” post. Our “2020 Retrospective” will also fill in some gaps.

Welcome to my web workshop. You will find several things I have been working on over the last few years. I have divided them into 3 groups:

  • Research: Much of this relates to my work on the New Rural Economy Project. This is a national research project on rural Canada that I directed between 1997 and 2008. Recently, I have been willingly seduced into the development and organization of the Rural Policy Learning Commons. This is an international 7-year rural and northern research partnership primarily funded by SSHRC.
  • Teaching: These materials are related to my teaching activities — mostly at Concordia University. You can find my course materials here.
  • Personal: This is the stuff that relates to the more personal aspects of my life. High up there are my children and grandchildren, of course!

If you find something here to be of interest, I would love to hear from you. You can contact me at: Bill.Reimer@concordia.ca.

    Bonjour à vous deux!

Hope travels are going smoothly. You left Île Bigras in true style – a power failure to get you off in time!! Keep on “truckin” and arrive safely.

    Only the best.
